Some Information About Me

As an oncology-trained therapist, I have completed comprehensive training in general massage therapy as well as additional specialised training that addresses the pathology of cancer, the treatments used and the side effects of these treatments.

I began my career as an IHBC trained massage therapist in 1985 utilising traditional, integrative Swedish massage techniques, whose methodology remains an important part of my massage treatment today. I then chose to concentrate specifically on Oncology massage, a personal and prescriptive approach to massage developed for cancer patients that safely enables them to benefit from the unquestionable positivity of hands on massage.

In 2018 I began my training as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage practitioner with the renowned Vodder training academy and completed advanced training that enables me to work with people who may have a compromised lymphatic system as a result of treatment for cancer.

Specialising in these therapies now enables me to offer treatments that I know provide great benefit to people who have experience of cancer and the immediate and often long-term side effects the diagnosis and treatments bring.
